Gabriel A. Sara, M.D.

Dr Gabriel Sara Graduated from Notre Dame de Jamhour in 1972 and went to the FFM (Beirut) and to Paris Medical school (Paris XI) and obtained his
doctorate in Medicine in 1980.
He then went to New York where he completed his training in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Medical Oncology. He holds 3 American Boards
(Internal Medicine, Hematology, Medical Oncology).
He is a Senior Attending Physician in the division of Hematology/Oncology at
St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York and is also an Assistant Clinical Professor in Medicine at the College of Physicians & Surgeons at
Columbia University (New York).
He is a co-founder of the "Jamhour Alumni US".
He is married to Nada Abousleiman and they have 3 children: Albert (1982),
Aline (1984) and Paul (1990).
VICE PRESIDENT
Karim A. Awad

Mr. Awad attended Notre Dame de Jamhour until 1984 and graduated from Lycee
Janson de Sailly in Paris in 1987. He then moved to Washington DC, where he
graduated in 1990 from The Catholic University of America with a Bachelor of
Science in Civil Engineering; he later received an MBA from the American
University in Washington DC. He started and pursued for 5 years a career in
management consulting with Accenture, then founded and managed for 3 years
Aeacus Capital, an asset management firm. In 2003, he joined a start up
hedge fund advisory firm in New York as an SVP of institutional sales, where
he focused on providing customized alternative investments solutions. As of
January 2007, Mr. Awad handles non-US investor relations for a 1.8 billion
dollars Swiss-based hedge fund investments advisory firm.
TREASURER
Ciril-Christian Rizk, M.D.
Dr Ciril-Christian Rizk attended Notre Dame de Jamhour until 1970 and
graduated from the Lycee francais de Beyrouth in 1973. He obtained his
doctorate in Medicine in 1982 form Brussels Free University in Belgium.
He then went to New York where he completed his residency training in
Pathology at St.Lukes Roosevelt Hospital Center and a Fellowship in
Pathology and Immuno-hematopathology at NYU Medical center in New York city.
He holds the American Board of Pathology.
He is a Senior Attending staff at Cabrini Medical Center in New York.
He is married to Nada Rasamny and they have 2 children: Rhea (1995) and Alex
(1998).
BOARD OF ADVISORS
Nagi J. Bustros, M.D. (President
2003-2006)
After graduating from the Notre Dame de Jamhour in June 1965 Dr Nagi Bustros
attended medical school at St. Joseph University (Faculte Francaise de
Medecine) and graduated in June 1972, after spending 9 months of research in
the field of hypertension in Paris at “Hopital Broussais”, service du
Professeur Milliez.
After graduation Dr. Bustros enrolled in a medical Internship at the
University Hospital of Jacksonville in Florida followed by a residency in
Internal Medicine at the Hospital of Saint Raphael in New Haven, Connecticut
and a fellowship in Cardiology at Downstate Medical Center, SUNY.
Since July 1st 1977 until the present time, Dr Bustros has been at the
Lutheran Medical Center in New York city where he has assumed the position
of Chief of the department of Cardiology since 1980. He is also an Assistant
Clinical Professor at State University of New York, Downstate.
Dr. Bustros holds the American Board in Internal Medicine and the
American board in Cardiology.
His hobbies include: Classical music, Reading (French literature, History),
Art and Museum, Swimming, Traveling, and the company of good friends.
He is a co-founder of the "Jamhour Alumni US".
He has 3 kids: Joseph (Banking - Credit Suisse Boston), Thomas (Internal
Medicine - Resident at Lenox Hill Hospital) and Carol (Marketing - S&P
Macgrow Hill).
BOARD OF ADVISORS
Ronald Kfoury (Treasurer 2003-2006)

Ronald Kfoury, graduated from Notre Dame de Jamhour in 1979. He then came to
the US to continue his education. In 1984 he graduated from Mercy College
with a degree in Computer Information Systems.
He has been in the Computer Field for over 25 years. He founded and is
currently President of Concepts to Systems, Inc. (a Computer Consulting
Company).
He is a co-founder of the "Jamhour Alumni US".
He is married to Nadine Sfeir and has two children Roger and Anthony.
